The holidays are in full swing, but it's hard to forget the hurricanes that devastated the U.S. and Puerto Rico only a few months ago — and the defenseless animals our rescue team reached there.
Cats like Dusty and Dahlia from Dallas. Their pet parent sadly had no choice but to surrender both of them in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.

In the midst of chaos, our rescue team transported Dusty and Dahlia to our campus, where they were given immediate care. And when they were ready, we connected them with a loving family who wanted to adopt them both — a promise we'd made to their former pet parent and one we would not break.
Especially now in the colder months with uncertain weather, I can't help but think about all the homeless dogs and cats out there right now — in need of warmth and hope.
